Left the church but not your faith?

A community for people rebuilding what they believe. No pretending, no certainty required, no one checking your doctrine at the door.

You've done the podcasts. You've read the books. You've had the 2 am conversations where you finally said the quiet part out loud.

And somewhere in all of it, you realized the hardest part of leaving wasn't the theology. It was the people. Sunday morning used to come with coffee and familiar faces. Now it comes with a question you can't answer: Where do I belong?

Deconstructing alone works for a while. Then it doesn't.

The questions keep coming, and there's nowhere to put them. Your old friends think you've lost your faith. The internet thinks you should lose the rest of it. And the longer you go without people who get it, the easier it becomes to stop asking the questions at all. That's how faith actually dies. Quietly, alone, from lack of conversation.

I'm Jeremy

I spent more than two decades in full-time ministry as a pastor, most recently leading a multisite megachurch. I know how the machine works from the inside, and I know why you have problems with it. I do too.

I didn't stop following Jesus. I stopped pretending the questions weren't real. Now I write and teach from a different vantage point, for people who can't go back but don't want to give up.

I'm the author of The Edge of the Inside, and I host the podcast Cabernet and PrayThis community is where all of that work actually becomes a conversation.

Here's how it works:

  1. Join for $10 a month. Takes two minutes. Cancel anytime.
  2. Jump in. Our 12-week study of Theo of Golden starts July 6, and the Friday Recap lands every week.
  3. Stop rebuilding alone.

What's Inside

Guided book studies, together

We read the books that are actually reshaping how people think about faith, on a schedule, with discussion questions and people to argue with. Our current study: Theo of Golden by Allen Levi, running July 6 through September 21. You won't have to process a paradigm-shifting book alone in your car again.

A weekly reason to think again

The Friday Recap lands every week with ten things worth your attention. Church news, books, ideas I'm chewing on, and the occasional thing that made me laugh. It's the email people tell me they actually open.

Ask the questions you can't ask anywhere else

Community discussion threads where doubt is treated as a feature of honest faith. Nobody here flinches.

Everything I make, first

Stuff I'm writing for future books, new teachings, sermon content, and podcast extras land here before anywhere else. You're at the front of the line.

A Monthly Seat at the Table

Join monthly video chats to discuss questions you have with your faith in real time with other people. Or watch the videos later if you'd prefer.

What Others are Saying

Steve

I feel closer to Jesus than I have in a long time. I found myself increasingly disillusioned with the traditional church. I was looking for a safe place I could learn and grow in my faith journey along with others on a similar journey, a place where I could freely explore questions, doubts, and different perspectives without judgment.

Heather

The best part has been feeling that I'm not alone in my faith rebuilding journey. I felt like I no longer belonged in my church home because I didn't adhere to the typical beliefs I had been raised with. I no longer could sit in the pew at my church while knowing my gay son was not accepted by the Christians with whom I worshipped.

Greg

I was burned out on the way the churches we had attended were being led. The best part about my experience in the community has been finding out there are more folks that have had similar experiences within the organized church. It seemed the American church was getting away from the teachings of Jesus and they had other agenda.

Pricing

$10 a month

Full access to everything. The book studies, the Friday Recap, the community, the archive, all of it.

For context: a single new hardcover book costs more than two months of this, and here the book comes with people to talk about it with. You've probably spent more on a single church coffee bar visit, back when your church had a coffee bar.

Join today and a digital copy of my book, The Edge of the Inside, is available to download immediately.

Want to support the work at a higher level? Some members join at $25 a month (or more). Same access, bigger thank you. It genuinely helps keep this running.

Questions People Ask

You can keep doing this alone. Plenty of people do, for a while.

Or you can be in a room, even a digital one, where nobody flinches at your questions, where the reading list has a rhythm, and where "I don't know" is a full sentence.

P.S. If you scrolled straight here: it's $10 a month, cancel anytime. The rest of the page just says that slower.
